After creating my vector pack I decided I wanted to step it up a knotch and make my first dingbat font. It includes a full uppercase adventure themed letter alphabet and the lowercase is entirely silhouettes, dingbats and african themed clipart.

After I made my African Vector pack I kept thinking of how much of a waste and how difficult it is to recycle one’s work so that it becomes useful to others without making it a repetitive result. So I decided to make my first dingbat style font but of course I am scared of going completely dinged out so I also created an African/Adventure type font to go with it. I am very proud of the result, So much so that I had to rename it appropriately (I was going to just call it Dirt2 African) and then I had to make sure there was no other fonts called Wild Africa so I did some google searches and didn’t come up with many results for a font called Wild Africa so hopefully this becomes that font.

The entire uppercase is the adventure style lettering, the entire lowercase is the clipart and dingbats for the font. The clipart includes animals, warriors, art, women and some other odds and ends. I can’t say for sure if the clipart is even respectable to the African culture or if it just looks like some idiot American’s rendition but if you don’t like them then I suggest sticking to the actual font. I don’t know a whole lot about the tribes, art, culture, symbols etc. I do know that it’s unique, it contains alot of pattern and they have some of the coolest masks in the world so if you have any interest in foreign art maybe now’s a good time to research some of the African Art.

    Hi, i am working on a project which will be based in Zambia and I came across yr site. i love your Wild Africa characters and dingbats etc. I did do yr free download, but I don’t know how to get to use in in my word.doc or ppt.
    Could you help me. if this project goes ahead, i will purchase for cvommercial use.
